SUBJECT:

POWER LEVEL INCREASE AT CRYSTAL RIVER NUCLEAR PLANT UNIT 3 During its 253rd meeting, the ACRS heard a report from its Subcommittee on Babcock and Wilcox reactors regarding the request from the Florida Power Corporation to increase the power level of the Crystal River Nuclear Plant from 2452 MWt to 2544 MWt. This request was discussed by the Subcommittee during a meeting in Washington, DC on May 6,1981.

Based on this report the Committee concluded that it need not review fur-ther the proposed power level increase and has no objection to the NRC Staff licensing the Crystal River Nuclear Plant Unit 3 to operate at power levels up to 2544 MWt.
