SEALED SOURCE AND DEVICE HOURS r
As a followup to our March 6 memo, MSS has reviewed-the fee categories and average hours required for sealed source and device reviews. NMSS has the-following recoemendations for fee category changes. Fee category 9A should-remain unchanged. Fee category 9B should be eliminated since there-are few-E requests under this category and the costs associated with the device review-can be recovered as part of the license review. We also recommend elimination of fee category 90 since no applications have been: received in several. years..
Category 9C should be retitled to cover both commercial or custom use reviews
- of sealed' sources.
Based on-our analysis of time recorded to conduct sealed source and device.
reviews, we recommend.that the hours for-categories 9A and 9C remain-unchangedr from the current fee' schedule.
NMSS is still calculating materials inspection hours:and will forward them>
