By letter dated May 2,1979, you sutmitted a document " Soil Analysis of Turbine Building and Northern Yard Area" which we are assessing as part
.cf our review of the geologic conditions at Beaver Valley Unit No.1.
As the result of the dynamic settlement analysis described in this docu-ment, you estimate that the average dynanic settlement was 0.6 inch and the highest value for a single boring was 1.8 inches.
These results appear to be reasonable and would not significantly impair the structural performance of the turbine building. We believe it is prudent, however, for you to analyze the impact of this settlement on equi;Tment and pipe connections within the turbine building. We request that the results of such an analysis be provided to us as quickly as feasible so that we might complete our review.
