Measurements and Approximations of Total Radioactivity Fission and activation gases a.
(1) These gases, excluding tritium, are collected in a Marinelli type beaker, specially modified for gas sampling, steel bombs, of glass vials and counted on a Ge(Li) detector for principal gamma emitters.
(2) Tritium gas is collected using a bubble apparatus and counted by liquid scintillation, b.
Iodines - are collected on a charcoal cartridge filter, and counted on a Ge(L1) detector.
Particulates - are collected on filter paper and counted on a Ge(Li) c.

Liquid effluents - are collected in bottles and counted in a Ce(Li) detector.

Table 6 presents the maximum doses computed from the noble gas effluentr, for each quarter. Tables 7 and 8 present doses resulting from gaseous iodine and particulate effluents.
Doses resulting from liquid iodine and particulates are presented in Table 9 and 10.
Tables 11 through 19 present the X/Q values associated with the dose values presented in Tables 6 through 10.
Based on the informaion presented above, it is concluded that the dose to individuals are well below the dose objectives of Appendix I to 10CFR50.
In addition, population doses within 50 miles of the plant are also very low.
