Dear Ms. Hamilton:
Enclosed is a copy of the Dam Safety Inspection Report prepared by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) for the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). This report contains the results of an inspection conducted on May 13, 2019, of the auxiliary reservoir dam at the Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant, Unit 1. Based on observations made during the field inspection, review of data submitted by the owner, and discussions with the NRC staff and licensee representatives, FERC found that the Auxiliary Reservoir Dam embankment and appurtenances were in satisfactory condition and adequately maintained.
The information in the report is considered Critical Energy Infrastructure Information (CEII).
Thus, the enclosure is considered official use only and is being withheld from public disclosure.
