OF SAFETY INSPECTION OF THE COOLING WATER STORAGE POND DAM (CAC NOS. 001370/05000348 AND 001370/05000364; EPID L-2017-LNS-0015)
Dear Ms. Gayheart:
Enclosed is a copy of the Dam Safety Inspection Report prepared by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) for the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). This report contains the results of an inspection conducted on August 9, 2021, of the Category I Cooling Water Storage Pond (CWSP) Dam at the Joseph M. Farley Nuclear Plant, Unit Nos. 1 and 2. Based on observations made during the field inspection, review of data submitted by the owner, and discussions with the NRC staff and licensee representatives, FERC found that the CWSP Dam and appurtenances structures were in satisfactory condition and adequately maintained.
The information in the report is considered Critical Energy Infrastructure Information (CEII). The Enclosure is considered sensitive security-related information, official use only, and is being withheld from public disclosure.
The enclosure transmitted herewith contains security-related information. When separated from the enclosure, this document is decontrolled.
