SUMMARY
FOR NUSCALE POWER, LLC TOPICAL REPORT TR-0915-17564, REVISION 1, SUBCHANNEL ANALYSIS METHODOLOGY The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff conducted a Stage 1 audit on July 12, 2017 - August 14, 2017, followed by a Stage 2 audit on November 3, 2017 - March 19, 2018, to review Topical Report (TR) TR-0915-17564, Revision 1, Subchannel Analysis Methodology.
The purpose of the NRCs regulatory audit of NuScale TR-0915-17564, Revision 1, was to: (1) gain a better understanding of the bases underlying the NuScale Subchannel Analysis Methodology and confirm the staffs understanding; (2) better understand if the methodology meets NRC regulations and conforms to any applicable regulatory guidance; and (3) develop requests for additional information.
The enclosed audit summary describes the content of the review, identifies the audit participants, and audit exit observations.
Prior to placing the public version of this document in the publicly available records component of NRCs Agencywide Documents and Access Management System (ADAMS), the NRC staff requests that NuScale perform a final review of the audit summary for proprietary or security related information not previously identified. If you believe that any additional information meets the criteria, please identify such information line by line and define the basis pursuant to the criteria established in Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Part 2, Section 390, Public inspections, exemptions, requests for withholding.
