ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF REPLY TO NOTICE OF VIOLATION CONTAINED IN VIRGIL C. SUMMER NUCLEAR STATION, UNIT 1 INSPECTION REPORT 05000395/2017004
Dear Mr. Lippard:
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) received your response dated March 15, 2018, Reply to a Notice of Violation, available in the Agency Document Access and Management System (ADAMS), under Accession No. ML18074A282. This reply was in response to Virgil C. Summer Nuclear Station, Unit 1 - NRC Integrated Inspection Report 05000395/2017004 and Notice of Violation, (ADAMS Accession No. ML18044A413).
The NRC has reviewed your response and determined that it meets the requirements of 10 CFR 2.201. The NRC has specifically noted your positions detailed in response items four and five.
At present, the NRC does not request continued discussions on this matter. However, the NRC will review your stated positions and the implementation of your corrective actions as a part of our future inspections. In accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) 2.390 of the NRCs Rules of Practice, a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of NRC's document system (ADAMS).
