SUPPLEMENT TO REQUEST FOR AMENDMENT EMERGENCY DIESEL GENERATOR FUEL OIL STORAGE SALEM GENERATING STATION UNIT NOS. 1 AND 2 FACILITY OPERATING LICENSES DPR-70 AND DPR-75 DOCKET NOS. 50-272 AND 50-311 In accordance with the requirements of 10CFR50.90, Public Service Electric and Gas Company (PSE&G) hereby transmits a request for .

amendment of Facility Operating Licenses DPR-.70 and DPR-75 for Salem Unit Nos. 1 and 2. Pursuant to the requirements of 10CFR50.91(b) (1), a copy of this request for amendment has been sent to the State of New Jersey.

By letter dated June 29, 1994 (NLR-N94099), PSE&G proposed an increase in the Technical Specification (TS) minimum volume of the emergency diesel generator fuel oil storage tanks. The purpose of this letter is to propose editorial changes to TS Surveillance Requirement (SR) 4.8.1.1.3, which incorrectly refers to the fuel storage tanks as 20,000 gallon tanks. As shown in Attachment 1, PSE&G is proposing to delete 11 20,000 gallon," and refer to the tanks as "fuel storage tanks." The changes proposed herein do not affect the Determination of No Significant Hazards Consideration in the June 29, 1994 amendment request.
