REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Global Laser Enrichment Facility Revision 5, Program Cyber Security Plan Please provide the following information:
The description of Global Laser Enrichments (GLEs) encryption provided in GLEP-00015-R, Revision 5 to the Program Cyber Security Plan (PCSP) is not acceptable because it would require GLE to provide United States-approved encryption equipment to a foreign country (Australia).
- Revise the PCSP to describe an encryption configuration that meets the requirements identified in the National Security Agency/Central Security Service, Directorate of Capabilities, Multi-Site Connectivity Capability Package V1.0 (MSC Directorate), dated February 23, 2017.
- Demonstrate in the PCSP that the proposed encryption will be configured consistent with the options in the MSC Directorate.
- Submit the revised PCSP along with the request for additional information response letter to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Nuclear Energy Oak Ridge Site Office (NE-ORSO) for review.
This information is necessary to complete the review by the NRC/DOE NE-ORSO.
