61840, 64254) j We have completed our review, of Item 4.5.3'to Generic Letter (GL) 83-28 regarding intervals for on-line testing of the reactor trip system (RTS).

As discussed in,more detail'in our Safety Evaluation (Enclosure

1) and our contractor's Technical IEvaluation Report (Enclosure 2), we find that Arizona Nuclear Power Project has adequately addressed this item, and thus, consider this item resolved'or Palo Verde.

Item 4.5.2 to GL 83-28 which is also related to RTS functional testing was previously. resolved for.:Palo Verde by our letter dated February 24, 1987.
