WNP-2 OPERATING LICENSE NPF-21 1997 ANNUALENVIRONMENTALOPERATING REPORT This letter is submitted per reporting requirements of Section 5.4.1 of the WNP-2 Environmental Protection Plan (EPP; Appendix B to OL).

No design or operational changes or tests in 1997 involved an unreviewed environmental question. An environmental evaluation was prepared for proposed changes in the chemical treatment program for controlling corrosion in the circulating water system. The changes involved water discharges regulated under the station's NPDES permit. No non-routine nonradiological reports (within the context of EPP Section 5.4.2) were required for 1997. A summary of the effluent data reported to the State of Washington on the monthly discharge monitoring reports is attached.
