This LER revision provides updated information regarding the corrective actions for the manual reactor scram due to core instability and associated reportable events. The commitment to obtain an amendment to the Technical Specifications to eliminate the requirement for calculating "T" has been deleted.

The change to the Technical Specifications was proposed in order to eliminate confusion regarding this requirement. The confusion was eliminated through training and procedure revision. A Technical Specification change deleting "T" is not necessary.

Page 2 NUCLEAR PLANT WNP-2, OPERATING LICENSE NPF-21 LICENSEE EVENT REPORT NO. 92-037-02 As discussed in Reference 2, the date for the installation of adjustable speed'drives for the Reactor Recirculation System pumps has been moved from June of 1994 to June of 1996.

Other changes in this LER reflect the completion of corrective actions.

In the response to the Notice of Violation for this event, Reference 3, the Supply System reiterated many of the corrective actions committed to in LER 92-037-01. This revision to the LER also serves to update the commitments repeated within Reference 3. To avoid future confusion, changes made to commitments that are in the LER and the NOV response will be made as revisions to the LER.
