Response to NRC letter dated July 14, 2017 - Reque-st for additional information regarding the renewal Of facility operating license of the above referenced facility and related to the physical security plan (CAC No. MF7199)

Plea:;;e find the enclosed responses to the above subject (Enclosure 1) and Revision 8 to the Physical Security Plan for the University of Massachusetts Lowell Research Reactor (Enclosure 2).

The changes are deemed not to decrease the effectiveness of the Physical Security Pl.an. The revised plan continues to meet the requirements of 10CFR 73.67(a). Both the response document (Enclosure 1) and Physical Security Plan (Enclosure 2) are considered Safeguards Information - Modified Handling. The changes will be impl1emented effective the date of this letter. Please contact me should you have any questions.
