Dear Mr. Shea:

By letter dated January 7, 2013, Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) submitted an application pursuant to Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) Part 51 and 10 CFR Part 54, to renew operating licenses DPR-77 and DPR-79, for the Sequoyah Nuclear Plant (SQN) for review by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff. This letter is to inform you of a change in the schedule for the SQN license renewal review.

The safety review milestone due date for Issue final SER is revised from January 2015, to February 5, 2015. In addition the Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards (ACRS) full committee meeting date is revised from February 5, 2014, to March 5, 2015. The issuance of a revised schedule is based on your updated request for additional information (RAI) response to the staffs RAI B.1.34-9d, dated December 4, 2014, concerning reactor vessel internals program action item 1. Enclosed is the NRC staff's revised review schedule for the SQN license renewal application.
