MF0481 AND MF0482)

Dear Mr. Shea:

By letter dated January 7, 2013, Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) submitted an application pursuant to Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) Part 51 and 10 CFR Part 54, to renew operating licenses DPR-77 and DPR-79, for the Sequoyah Nuclear Plant (SQN) for review by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). This letter is to inform you of a change in the schedule for the SQN license renewal review.

The safety review milestone due date for Decision - Director, NRR is revised from June 2015, to September 2015. The issuance of this revised schedule is based on the staffs review of your revisions to the Surveillance Monitoring Program, the Reactor Vessel Internals Program, and Commitment No. 28, associated with the recent discovery of the dislodged reactor vessel surveillance capsules in the SQN Unit 1 reactor. The staffs evaluation will be supplemented and issued September 2015. Enclosed is the NRC staff's revised review schedule for the SQN license renewal application.
