WATTS BAR NUCLEAR PLANT (WBN) UNIT 2, DEMINERALIZED WATER SYSTEM (SYSTEM 059) TRANSITION FROM ASME SECTION III TO ASME SECTION XI This letter provides notification that all ASME Section III work has been completed for WBN Unit 2 Demineralized Water System (System 059). The ASME Section III Final N-5 Code Data Report has been signed by the N-Certificate Holder Having Overall Responsibility (Bechtel Power Corporation), and the ASME nameplates have been stamped and attached to the piping. From this point until the ASME N-3 Code Data Report is signed for the overall plant, in accordance with ASME Code Interpretation III-1-83-61, the ASME portions of the system will be maintained under the provisions of ASME Section XI.

The WBN Unit 2 ASME Section XI Repair and Replacement (R&R) activities will be controlled under WBN Unit 2 Procedure NC PP-15, ASME Section XI and OM Code. The activities will meet the ASME Section XI requirements of NPG-SPP-09.1.3, ASME Section XI Repair/Replacement Activities Program; TI-100.014, ASME Section XI Repairs and Replacements; TI-100.010, System Pressure Testing; and MMDP-10, Controlling Welding, Brazing, and Soldering Processes. ASME Section XI R&R activities performed prior to Unit 2 licensing shall be performed to the current WBN Unit 1 Section XI Code of Record (i.e., 2001 Edition through 2003 addenda). The ASME Section XI work will be planned in accordance with Bechtel Procedure 25402-000-GPP-000-N1206, Work Order Processing.

TVA will notify the Lead Authorized Nuclear Inservice Inspector and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission Unit 2 Senior Resident Inspector prior to performing Unit 2 ASME Section XI R&R work.
