Site  : SALEM Emergency Class  : NON EMERGENCY "At approximately 0844 [EST] on December 27, 2013 a dead sturgeon was reported being removed from the Salem Unit 2 Circulating Water System (CWS) intake trash racks at the Salem Generating Station. Nuclear Environmental Affairs has made a determination that this is a 4 hr report to the NRC under RAL 11.8.2.a. A report was made to the National Marine Fisheries Service at 0924 [EST] by Environmental Licensing. A report was made to the NJDEP at 0922

[EST] by Evironmental Licensing."

The licensee has notified the NRC Resident Inspector.

Notified the R1DO (Dwyer) and the Endangered Species Group (via e-mail).
