1.0 INTRODUCTION

On February 25, 1981, a meeting was held with representatives of the Regulatory staff to review the current status of the Steam Generator Repair Program at San Onofre Unit 1.

In addition Southern California Edison presented information related to the use of sleeves with a design for the upper joint rather than the upper joint design as described in the report entitled, "Steam Generator Repair Report, San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station, Unit 1, September 19808 (hereafter refered to as "Repair Report"), submitted in Docket No.

50-206 by letter dated August 29, 1980.

Based on the information presented at the February 25, 1981 meeting, the Regulatory staff indicated they had no objections to the use of sleeves with[
