Site  : BRUNSWICK Emergency Class  : NON EMERGENCY "Offsite Notification to the North Carolina Wildlife Resource Commission: On July 25, 2012, a Loggerhead Sea Turtle was retrieved from the 1D Circulating Water Intake Pump Trash Rack.

The condition of the turtle Indicates that the death was recent, and the lethal take will be attributed to plant operations. A necropsy will be performed, and if it Is determined that the take Is not attributed to plant operations, an update to this notification will be made.

Notification to the North Carolina Wildlife Resource Commission was completed at 1335 EDT.

This non-emergency notification is being made pursuant to 10 CFR 50.72(b)(2)(xi) due to the notification to the State agency. The NRC resident inspector has been notified."

Notified the R2DO(Franke) and Endangered Species.
