Description:

Safety-Related Seismic Restraints (Snubbers) for the Third 10-Year Interval Pursuant to 10 CFR 50.55a(g), STP Nuclear Operating Company (S,-PNOC) has updated the South Texas Project Inservice Testing (IST) snubber program for the third 10-year interval applicable to safety-related seismic restraints (snubbers) as described in Technical Requirements Manual Section 3/4.7.9. The IST snubber program plan describes the programmatic aspects for snubber inservice testing to be implemented with the third 10-year interval beginning September 25, 2010.

The IST snubber program plan has been developed in accordance with the requirements of the 2004 Edition, No Addenda, of the ASME OM Code, Subsections ISTA and ISTD with the inspection requirements of Code Case OMN-13, revision 0. The IST snubber program plan complies with the limitations and modifications to these requirements as stated in 10 CFR 50.55a(b) related to implementation of the 2004 ASME OM Code. Therefore, NRC approval is not required prior to implementation.
