CORRECTION TO REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR THE REVIEW OF THE PALO VERDE NUCLEAR GENERATING STATION, UNITS 1, 2, AND 3, LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION (TAC NOs. ME0254, ME0255 AND ME0256)
Dear Mr. Edington:
By letter dated November 3, 2009, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff submitted a request for additional information in regards to the review of the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station, Units 1, 2, and 3, license renewal application. The staff sent the incorrect version of question 4.7.7-2 due to an oversight. The correct version of question 4.7.7-2 is below.
Discuss the evaluation of past examination results. Discussion should include results from the surface examination of all exposed surfaces and the complete ultrasonic volumetric examinations which were conducted approximately every 10 years. Please confirm that no flaws were indicated from the examinations.
