Oconee Nuclear Station Docket Numbers 50-269, 270, and 287 Withdrawal of License Amendment Request (LAR) associated with RPS/ESPS Digital Upgrade (TSC 2004-09)
By letter dated February 14, 2005, Duke requested the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) approve a Reactor Protective System (RPS)fEngineered Safeguards Protective System (ESPS) digital modification and associated Technical Specification (TS) changes. Duke has submitted numerous supplements and has conducted numerous meetings with the NRC related to this LAR over the past year.
As a result of recent discussions between Duke and the NRC, as well as other considerations, Duke has decided to withdraw the LAR and re-submit a revised LAR at a later date.
