OCONEE NUCLEAR STATION, UNITS 1, 2, AND 3 (OCONEE) - NRC RECEIPT OF DUKE POWER COMPANY LLC RESPONSE TO GENERIC LETTER 2006-03, POTENTIALLY NONCONFORMING HEMYC AND MT FIRE BARRIER CONFIGURATIONS (TAC NOS. MD1605, MD1606, AND MD1607)

Dear Mr. Hamilton:

We acknowledge receipt of your response to Generic Letter 2006-03, Potentially Nonconforming Hemyc and MT Fire Barrier Configurations. Under oath or affirmation, you have submitted documentation that Oconee does have Hemyc installed, but that Oconee does not rely on the Hemyc or the MT fire barrier system or any other 1-hour or 3-hour fire barrier that separates redundant safe shutdown trains located within the same fire area. Based on your response, no further action is requested of you at this time.
