Reqardinq the FloodinoAspectsof Recommendation 2.1 of the Near-Term TaskForce (NTTfl Reviewof Insiqhtsfromthe Fukushima Dai-ichiAccident On March12,2012,the NuclearRegulatory Commission (NRC)issueda lettertitled, "Requestfor Information Pursuantto Title10 of the Codeof FederalRegulations 50.54(0Regarding Recommendations 2.1,2.3,and9.3of the Near-Term TaskForce Reviewof Insightsfromthe Fukushima Dai-ichiAccident," to all powerreactorlicensees and holdersof construction permits in activeor deferredstatus.Enclosure 2 of the 10 CFR50.54(f)lettercontainsspecificrequested actions,requested information, and requiredresponses associated withRecommendation 2.1 for flooding.One of the requiredresponses directslicensees to submitan approachfor developing an Integrated Assessment Report,including criteriafor identifying within60 vulnerabilities, daysof the dateof the NRC'sissuance of guidance on implementation details.This letterprovidesFENOC's60-dayresponseto the 10 CFR50.54(f)letterforBeaver ValleyPowerStation,UnitNos.1 and2 (BVPS),Davis-Besse NuclearPowerStation (DBNPS), andPerryNuclearPowerPlant(PNPP).

FENOCintendsto usethe JLD-ISG-2012-05, Revision 0, guidance as the approach for developing the NTTF2.1 floodingIntegrated Assessment Reportfor thoseplantsitesin our nucleargenerating fleetwherethe reevaluated floodinghazardis not boundedby the currentdesignbasis floodevaluation.

FENOCalsointendsto usethe guidance providedby NRCletter,"Trigger Conditions for Performing an Integrated Assessment and DueDatefor Response," dated December3, 2012,regarding the triggerconditionsandscopeof any required IntegratedAssessment.
