SUMMARY
The Unit operated at a nominal value of 100% output until 1611 hours0.0186 days
0.448 hours
0.00266 weeks
6.129855e-4 months
on 8/14/03 when a slight load rejection of approximately 65 MWH occurred due to grid instability following a wide scale power outage that disrupted a large sector of the nation's power grid. The Unit was immediately stabilized and retuedo fu ower.
The Unit continued to operate at a nominal value of 100% output until 0909 hour0.0105 days
0.253 hours
0.0015 weeks
3.458745e-4 months
s-on 8/23/03, when a planned load reduction to approximately 95% output was commenced. An output of approximately 95% was achieved at 0950 hours0.011 days
0.264 hours
0.00157 weeks
3.61475e-4 months
on 8123103. The 5% load reduction was being made as a conservative measure in order to allow margin for the expected rise in reactor power due to a rise in steam flow that was being used to dislodge foreign material from the seat of Condenser Steam Dump Valve 106A4 that was preventing full closure of the valve.
Following successful closure of the valve, the Unit began to return to full power at 1110 hours0.0128 days
0.308 hours
0.00184 weeks
4.22355e-4 months
on 8123103.
4.22355e-4 months
on 8123103. A nominal value of 100% output was achieved at 1310 hours0.0152 days
0.364 hours
0.00217 weeks
4.98455e-4 months
on 8/23/03. The Unit continued to operate at a nominal value of 100% output for the remainder of the report period.
