SUMMARY

The FitzPatrick plant - with the exception of minor derates for rod adjustments - operated at or near rated power during the month of December 2001 except for the following:

. December 10, 2001 - 0805 The plant commenced a load reduction to support troubleshooting of the

'B' Reactor Water Recirculation pump speed controls. Power was reduced to approximately 98%. Work on the troubleshooting plan was begun at 0814 when the 'B' RWR pump speed was controlled manually.

Troubleshooting completed at 0012 on December 13 when the 'B' RWR pump motor generator set speed controls were placed in service. Power was then reduced to 95% at 0015 using the 'B' RWR pump and returned to 98% at 0020. The 'B' RWR pump speed controls were then placed in the "locked" position at 0028, and power was returned to 100% using the 'A' RWR pump at 0034.
