SUMMARY

near rated The FitzPatrick plant - with the exception of minor derates for rod adjustments - operated at or power during the month of February 2002 except for the following:

February 25, 2002 - 0805 The plant commenced a load reduction to support scheduled activities, including a control rod sequence exchange, control rod scram time testing, condenser waterbox de-fishing, and main turbine control valve and stop valve testing. Power was reduced to approximately 75% and the control rod manipulations began at 0842. Power was increased to 83% at 1447 to support main turbine stop valve testing. All scheduled activities were completed at 1735.

Power ascension then commenced, and was performed at a slow ramp rate due to fuel pre-conditioning limits. The plant reached full power at 0238 on February 27. The total duration of the load reduction was 42 hours4.861111e-4 days
0.0117 hours
6.944444e-5 weeks
1.5981e-5 months
and 35 minutes.
