SUMMARY
The FitzPatrick plant - with the exception of minor derates for rod adjustments - operated at or near rated power during the month of November 2001 except for the following:
November 26, 2001 - 0804 November 29, 2001 - 0808 The plant commenced a load reduction to support a control rod sequence exchange, scram time testing of control rods, and condenser waterbox de fishing. Control rod scram time testing began at 0903, and condenser waterbox de-fishing began at 0915. Scram time testing was completed at 1240. Main turbine stop valve testing was started at 1222 and completed at 1259. De-fishing was completed at roughly 1427. Power ascension was then commenced at 1551. Main turbine control valve testing was started at 1658 and completed at 1730. The unit was returned to full power at 0323 on November 27. The total duration of this load reduction was 19 hours2.199074e-4 days
0.00528 hours
3.141534e-5 weeks
7.2295e-6 months
and 19 minutes.
The plant commenced a load reduction to 98% power to support troubleshooting of the 'B' Reactor Water Recirculation (RWR) pump speed control system. Work on the troubleshooting plan began at 0811 and completed at 1826 on November 30. Power was reduced to 95% at 1840 and 'B' RWR pump response monitored. Power was then returned to 98% at 1845 and 'B' RWR pump response monitored. Power was then returned to 100% at 1900. The total duration of this load reduction was slightly greater than 11 hours1.273148e-4 days
0.00306 hours
1.818783e-5 weeks
4.1855e-6 months
.
