SUMMARY

The FitzPatrick plant - with the exception of minor derates for rod adjustments - operated at or near rated power for the duration of the month of September 2002.

"* September 5, 2002 September 10, 2002 - 1545 September 17, 2002 - 0900 September 27, 2002 - 0903 The plant began end-of-cycle coastdown.

The plant commenced insertion of control rods to increase reactor power.

Core thermal power increased from approximately 98% to 99.5% Power was then increased to 100% by adjusting Reactor Water Recirculation flow at 1628.

The plant reduced power to 90% to support implementation of Final Feedwater Temperature Reduction. Power was further reduced at roughly 1630 to 70% to allow for completion of scheduled activities. Extraction steam to the 6th point Feedwater Heaters was isolated at approximately 1730, and power ascension then commenced. The plant was returned to 100% power at 2100.

The plant reduced power to 83% to support a control rod pattern adjustment. Control rod manipulations were completed at 1030 and power ascension commenced at 1040. The plant was returned to full power at 1727.
