Meeting Details A meeting was held in the NRC Region III office in Glen Ellyn, Illinois on June 13, 1980 with Commonwealth Edison Company, Sargent and Lundy Engineers, and INRYC0 Steel Company to discuss the licensee's findings regarding the material failure of the Unit I containment post-tensioning system anchor heads.

INRYC0 Steel Company presented a technical discussion of the design of the post-tensioning system and the metallurgical'and structural investigations performed to determine the causes and recommended solutions to the material failure of the anchor heads.
This meeting was held as a prelude to the licensee's final report on the matter, which is due on June 27, 1980 as a result of a reported significant construction deficiency, per 10 CFR 50.55(e).
Upon receipt of the licensee's final report the NRC will perform a review and evaluation of the adequacy of the analysis, and corrective measures taken to preclude recurrence.
This item has been previously identified as an unresolved item in NRC Report 454/80-02/01.
