Safeguards Section Nuclear Materials Safety and Safeguards Branch Division of Radiation Safety and Safeguards SUMMARY Scope:
This routine, announced inspection was conducted in the area of the licensee's Physical Security Program for Power Reactors, specifically in the areas of Protection of Safeguards Information, Access Controls, Alarm Stations, Audits, and Training and Qualification of Personnel.
Results:
One Inspector Followup Item was identified in the area of Access Control due to card reader doors being left unsecured (paragraph 2.b.).
However, the licensee continues to have a proactive training and qualification program, strong management support, detailed audits, and a professional security staff.
