Andres, Technical Assistant, Fuel Management Section Material Control and Accounting This was an off-site inspection of the Limerick Generating Station Unit I records and reports generated and maintained by the Fuel Management Section of the Philadelphia Electric Company corporate office located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The records and reports-that are generated and maintained at the Limerick Generating Station, Unit I will be reviewed during a future inspection, Organization and Operation The inspector interviewed licensee management personnel and reviewed the licensee's "Procedure for Special Nuclear Material Accounting",

A-44, Revision 4, effective March 28, 1988. The procedure contained adequate written guidance for SNM control and accounting, Records and Reports The inspector reviewed the licensee's records, reports, and source data. All Material Balance Reports (DOE /NRC Form-742), submitted by the licensee for the period September 30, 1984 to Merch 31, 1988 were reviewed, as were all Nuclear Material Transaction Reports (DOE /NRC Form-741). Total uranium and U-235 fission, transmutation '

and plutonium production, and decay records were also reviewed. No discrepancies were note Exhibits I and II of this report summarize the licensee's nuclear material activities for the period of Agusut 24, 1984 to March 31, 198 . Exit Interview The inspector met with the licensee representatives listed in paragraph 1 on April 19, 1988 and summarized the scope and findings or' the inspectio At no time during this inspection was written material provided to the licensee by the inspector.
