Inspection Summary Inspection on March 22 - 26. 1993 (Report No. 50-331/93006(DRSS))

Areas Inspected:

Routine, announced physical security inspection involving:

Management Support, Plans and Audits; Protected and Vital Area - Barriers,

Detection and Assessment Aids; Protected and Vital Area Access Control - Personnel, Packages and Vehicles; and Followup on Previous Inspection Findings.

Results: The licensee was found to be in compliance with NRC requirements in the areas inspected. One plant safety issue relating to an inoperative emergency access door was identified.

Licensee corrective action was

implemented. All previously identified inspection findings were closed.

Inspection results showed positive improvement in management effectiveness for the security program as evidenced by continued senior plant management support and realignment of day-to-day security functions that resulted in improved
