SUBJECT: NRC INSPECTION REPORT NOS. 50-325/93-39 AND 50-324/93-39 This will acknowledge receipt of your response of October 20, 1993, to our Notice of Violation issued on September 24, 1993, concerning activities conducted at your Brunswick facilit During discussions, with Mr. Godley and other members of your staff and M Shymlock of my staff, on December 13, 1993 in the Region II office, additional l information was provided on the repairs to the Unit 1 Emergency Diesel Generator 2X LOCA logic circuit. These repairs were accomplished following the failure of the JATR-X relay during logic circuit tests performed on July 15, 1993. The reason the relay failed was also discussed. This was new information that was not discussed in your response to the violation nor during the inspection. Due to this new information Mr. Godley agreed that a l supplemental response to the violation, to further clarify the information provided to the NRC, will be provided to this office by January 17, 199 The responses directed by this letter and the enclosed Notice are not subject to the clearance procedures of the Office of Management and Budget as required by the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1980, Pub.
