Nuclear Materials Safety-and Safeguards Branch Division of Radiation Safety and Safeguards SUMMARY Scope:
This routine, unannounced inspection was conducted in the areas of Records and
' Reports; Protected and Vital Area Barriers; Protected and Vital Area Access Controls 'of Personnel,- Packages and -Vehicles; Alarm Stations and Communications; Security Training and Qualification; and Physical Protection Safeguards Information.
'Results:
In the areas inspected, violations or deviations were not identified.
Inspection results indicated that the security organization continues to function at the level of effectiveness noted in previous inspections.
The program appeared well managed and plant management provided support.
It was noted that the licensee had not adequately reviewed the safeguards equipment failures to ensure deficiencies were being addressed to plant management for repair or. replacement.
