This acknowledges"your letter, AEP:NRC:00132, dated February 7, 1979, informing us of the steps you have taken to correct the noncompliance identified in our letter dated January 12, 1979.

Please note that in your lettei of February 7, 1979, the explanatory action taken to preclude recurrence does not provide us with sufficient details to assure what implemented corrective action was taken to avoid a recurrence.

It is requested that a copy of the temporary sheet, which documents the corrective action, as noted in your letter, be submitted for our information.

In reference to the telephone conversations with Mr. Al Finley, of my staff, on February 15 and 16, 1979, I wish to again emphasize that the attachment to your letter of February 7, 1979, is not considered to contain 2.790(d) information and will be placed in the Public Document Room.

The original Appendix A, Notice of Violation, submitted as an enclosure to our letter dated January 12, 1979, did not contain 2.790(d) information.

There are some areas in safeguards material control and accountability at power reactor operations that do not constitute 2.790(d) information and completion and distribution of Form NRC-742 is one of these areas.
