Inspection No. 50-309/82-07 This refers to the routine safeguards inspection conducted by Mr. Jack M. Dunlap of this office on April 26-30, 1982 of activities authorized by NRC License No.

DRP-36 and to the discussions of our findings held by Mr. Dunlap with Mr. E. C.

Wood and other members of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.

Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I Inspection Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures,and representative records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the -inspector.

Several security weaknesses were discussed at the exit interview. Your corrective action will be reviewed during a future inspection.

Our inspector also verified the steps you have taken to correct the violations brought to your attention in the enclosure to our letters dated February 10, 1982, and March 1, 1982. We have no further questions regarding your action at this time.

Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.

In accordance with 10 CFR 73.21 of the NRC's regulations, documentation of l

security measures for the physical protection of special nuclear materials and certain plant equipment vital to the safety of production or utilization facilities is deemed to be Safeguards Information.

Each person who produces, receives or acquires Safeguards Information is required to ensure that it is protected against unauthorized disclosure.

Therefore, except for the report cover sheet, the enclosed inspection report will not be placed in the Public Document Room and will receive limited distribution pursuant to 10 CFR 73.21(c).
