Dear Mr. Beard:
Thank you for your response of August 12, 1996, to our Notice of Violation, issued on July 12, 1996, concerning activities conducted at your Crystal River facility. We have evaluated your response and found that it meets the requirement of 10 CFR 2.201 with the following exception. With respect to Violations 302/96-05-05, example 1; 302/96-05-07, example 2; and 302/96-05-08; your corrective actions do not address the " extent of condition" for each violation. As such, we request that you provide a supplemental response to these Violations by October 10, 1996. The need for a supplemental response, addressing " extent of condition," was discussed between B. Crowley of Region II and G. Halnon of your staff at the site on August 29, 1996.
We will examine the implementation of your corrective actions during future inspections.
