Dear Mr. Sullivan:
On August 30, 2018, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) completed a security inspection at your Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station and discussed the results of this inspection with you and other members of your staff. Inspection results are documented in the enclosed report.
NRC inspectors did not identify any finding or violation of more than minor significance.

SUMMARY
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) continued monitoring Entergys performance at Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station by conducting the baseline security inspections described in this report in accordance with the Reactor Oversight Process. The Reactor Oversight Process is the NRCs program for overseeing the safe operation of commercial nuclear power reactors.

No findings or more-than-minor violations were identified.
INSPECTION SCOPE
Unless otherwise noted, baseline security inspections were conducted using guidance in the appropriate inspection procedures (IPs) in effect at the beginning of the inspection. Samples were declared complete when the IP requirements most appropriate to the inspection activity were met consistent with Inspection Manual Chapter 2201, Security Inspection Program for Commercial Nuclear Power Reactors. The inspectors reviewed selected procedures and records, observed activities, and interviewed personnel to assess licensee performance and compliance with Commission rules and regulations, license conditions, site procedures, and standards.

NRC inspectors evaluated the licensees protective strategy through completion of the following IP elements:

NRC inspectors evaluated the licensees target set program through completion of all elements in the IP.
EXIT MEETINGS AND DEBRIEFS
On August 30, 2018, the inspectors presented the inspection results to Mr. Brian Sullivan, Site Vice President, and other members of the licensees staff. Inspectors verified no proprietary information was retained or documented in this report.
