8.
Radiation Monitor Annunciator Delays
.
a.
The inspector revidwed the status of annunciator delays evaluations and corrective actions to date.
This was identified as an unresolved item during a previous inspection *.
According to the licensee, the delay problem is caused by deterioration of an electronic component.
The fix, according to the licensee
,-
'
I is approximately 50% complete.
It was noted Chat those monitors pertinent to assurance that technical specifications will be met have been repaired.
With respect to completion of the fix, the licensee stated that it would be accomplished within 90 days (November 1, 1975).
The inspector stated that this matter was considered as unresolved pending completion of the fix.
9.
Radioactive Gas Leakage
~
a.
During a previous inspection * an unplanned release subsequent to loss of the ventilation system in the auxiliary building was reviewed.
The licensee's findings indicated that low level leakage from the waste gas system to the auxiliary building was evident.
The inspector identified'this as an unresolved item pending further evaluation and identifica' tion and repair of existing leaks.

b.
During this inspection the licensee's continuing efforts to resolve the leakage problem were reviewed.
It was noted that a project engineer has been assigned responsibility for the program.
To date, specific leaks have been identified and repaired.
Subsequent to leak repair, the ventilation system has been shutdown to provide time for radioactive gas buildup in the auxiliary building.
This was done on two occasions with no buildup detec :ed, as determined by local air sampling during shutdown and a rev1.ew of exhaust radiation monitor l
response after starttp of the ventilation system.
The
lice..see's findings indicate that current leakage has been reduced to minimal levels.
The licensee stated that they vill continue to follow waste gas system evaluations for identifiable leakapc.
Tha inspector stated that this matter was considered resolved and had no further questions at the present time.
