Youngdahl Following the discussion and clarif itation of several items in the CPCo presentation it was the conclusion of IE that if CPCo implemented the program as described above, subject to a satisfactory confirmatory IE inspection, the intent of the order modifying their license would be me..

It was stated that the Region III Resident Inspector assigned to the Palisades plant would perform portions of this confirmatory inspection as the items were being completed, and that prior to the restart of the reactor a Region III inspection team would complete the inspection to determine the adequacy of the CPCo effort In this presentation CPCo personnel reviewed the breach of contain-ment event, the immediate corrective actions taken, the *long term corrective actions taken, corporate and plant reorganization plans, the purpose and function of the Palisades Management Review Task Force, arid their ongoing program for meeting the requirements of the order of November 9, 1979 modifying their Palisades plant operating licens Key points brought out in this discussion include: The immediate corrective actions pertaining to the breach of containment event have been completed. The corrective actions to prevent similar events in other systems are in progres All safety related systems are being subjected to a "walkdown" verification to assure that the plant piping and instrument diagrams (P&ID's) are correc Plant master valve and system line-up check lists are being checked against these P&ID's to assure their completenes Plant procedures are being checked against the P&ID's and the line-up check lists to assure their completeness and adequac Technical advisors have been permanently assigned to each shift.
