This transmits the findings of the NRC follow-up inspection of fire protection

deficiencies at the Haddam Neck Plant on January 12-16 and February 9-17, 1987.
The findings.have been discussed with Mr. D. 8. Miller of your staff.
No violations were identified during this inspection and no reply. to this letter is required.
The corrective and preventive actions documented in your letters to NRC Region I-dated July 3, August 19, September 3 (meeting notes) and 26, 1986 and

Jaruary 9, 1987 were reviewed during this inspection. Those actions pertained to the findings of Inspection Report 50-213/86-17, forwarded to you by our

August 1 and December 10, 1986 letters.
NRC response to your position that one item cited in our letters did not constitute a violation of NRC requirements l
will be addressed by separate correspondence.
