"Loss of Power (LOP) Diesel Generator (DG) Start Instrumentation" Pursuant to 10 CFR 2.107, Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) hereby withdraws License Amendment Request (LAR) 11-06, "Revision to Technical Specification 3.3.5, 'Loss of Power (LOP) Diesel Generator (DG) Start Instrumentation,'" dated October 24,2011.

Discrepancies with the current licensing basis and the control room dose analysis of record (AOR) associated with this LAR were identified that would require additional analysis and a revision to the AOR that is projected to be available in the first quarter of 2013 (greater than 1 year from the original LAR submittal date). PG&E intends to resolve these discrepancies by obtaining NRC approval of proposed changes to the control room dose AOR.

PG&E is making the following regulatory commitment (as defined by NEI 99-04) in this letter: PG&E will resubmit an LAR to address the issues identified in LAR 11-06, with an additional request for approval of a proposed revision to the control room dose AOR, within 60 days of the completion of the revised control room dose AOR.

If you have any questions or require additional information, please contact Mr. Tom Baldwin at (805) 545-4720.

Sincerely,
