SUMMARY

OF OPERATING EXPERIENCES Highlights Vermont Yankee operated at 57.5% of rated thermal power for the month.

Gross electrical generation was 219,788 MWHe or 55.9% design electrical capacity.

Operating Summary The following is a chronological description of plant operations including other pertinent items of interest for the month:

At the beginning of the reporting period the plant was operating at 99.9%

of rated thermal power.

040618 At 0640 hours0.00741 days
0.178 hours
0.00106 weeks
2.4352e-4 months
, the turbine tripped and reactor scrammed due to main generator load reject. The cause of the load reject was a fire on the main transformer caused by excessive ground. (See Unit Shutdowns and Power Reductions)

At the end of the reporting period the plant was operating at 0.0% of rated thermal power.
