Byron Station Security Plan, Training and Qualification Plan, and Safeguards Contingency Plan, Revision 10 In accordance with 10 CFR 50.54, "Conditions of licenses," paragraph (p)(2), Exelon Generation Company, LLC (EGC) is submitting Revision 10 to the Byron Station Security Plan. Changes to this document were implemented on August 6, 2010. In accordance with 10 CFR 50.54(p)(2), EGC is submitting these changes within 60 days of implementation (i.e., no later than October 5, 2010).
The Security Plan, Training and Qualification Plan, and Safeguards Contingency Plan has been revised to:
- 1.
Implement additional areas associated with the Essential Service Water (SX) cooling towers.
- 2.
Implement the Owner Controlled Area (OCA) thermal camera system.
- 3.
Implement specific information in regards to the Early Warning System (EWS).
EGC has concluded that the changes do not decrease the safeguards effectiveness of the Byron Station Security Plan, Training and Qualification Plan, and Safeguards Contingency Plan.
Attachments 1 and 2 contain Safeguards Information. Therefore, EGC requests that this information be withheld from public disclosure in accordance with 10 CFR 2.390, "Public inspections, exemptions, requests for withholding," paragraph (d)(1), and 10 CFR 73.22, "Protection of Safeguards Information: Specific Requirements," paragraph (a)(1)(i).
