During normal operation, a leak was discovered in the Control Rod Drive System Hydraulic Control unit 30-51.

In order to affect repairs, the associ-ated Control Rod Drive was electrically disarmed and valved out of service which resulted in control rod 30-51 being placed in an inoperable condition.

This condition is allowed by Technical Specification Appendix A, Paragraph 3.3.A.

The remaining 136 control rods were verified operable, the leaking valve was repaired, and the flydraulic Control Unit and its associated Control Rod Drive were returned to service.
