We have enclosed 60 copies of Amendment 55 to the March 30, 1973 Application to Construct and Operate Seabrook Station Unit 1 and Unit 2.

The FSAR revisions contained in Amendment 55 result from the following:

o Responses which were previously submitted regarding loose parts Monitoring System, hTC licensing review open items, code cases and Generic Letter 83-28. M o Revision to Chapter 13 regarding licensed operator requalification training.

o Change of RCCA absorbe' naterial to only Ag-In-Cd.

o Downgrading of RGWS to NNS as allowed by Regulatory Guide 1.143 and ANSI /ANS-51.1.

o Incorporation of RAI responses in whole or partially into the main body of the FSAR to enhance information contained in the FSAR.
