CONFIRMATION OF NOTIFICATION CONCERNING LEGISLATIVE STATUS The undersigned provided the following information to the Licensing Board by telephone on October 28, 1983.

1. 30n October 26, 1983, the Senate tabled an Amendment to H.R. 3959, the Fiscal Year 1984 Supplemental Appropriations Bill, which would have provided funding and private financing necessary for project construction to completion.

2. The project has not been terminated. The project agreements and authorizing legislation (Section 106 of Pub. L.

No.91-273, as amended) remain effective.

3. ne project has undertaken planning actions to conserve resources, and to assure an orderly process if terminat' ion should occur. In the meantime, the Applicants i

intend to seek completion of the CP proceeding.
