I" SALEM UNIT 2 OPERATING
SUMMARY
November 1982 l
Unit 2 continues to be limited to 82? due to a gagged safety valve.
Raactor power was reduced to 80% on November 15 due to #23 condensate pump bearing noises, and further reduced to 60% on November 16 to repair the bearing.
The reactor tripped on November 19 at 0411 hours0.00476 days
0.114 hours
6.795635e-4 weeks
1.563855e-4 months
.from 60% power {
on a Feed Flow / Steam Flow mismatch on #24 steam generator. This condition waa caused when #22 steam generator feed pump tripped due to low suction pressure. #21 condensate pump was r eturned to service after strainer cleaning and had not been completely primed. ,
An air void was consequently pumped to the fced pump causing the low suction pressure condition.
Power reductions to 73% and 75% occurred on November 21 and November 23 respectively due to three circulators being out of service for screen problems and condensor tube leaks.
